A Postgraduate Diploma (PG Diploma) in Family Medicine is a specialized training program designed to equip healthcare professionals, often medical doctors, with comprehensive skills and knowledge necessary for delivering primary healthcare services to individuals and families across diverse age groups.
The objective of the PGDFM programme is to build the capacity of GP's and enable them to manage more cases so that referral becomes less necessary. The highly specialized research backed program (RCT's + SRMA) are aimed towards MBBS graduates who wish to excel in clinical practice with a strong theoretical foundation and a solid practical hands on training at various hospitals across the country depending on their needs. The curriculum will comprises of two semesters with about 75 problem based, interactive modules. The modules are prepared by highly qualified and experienced faculty from different parts of globe to cater to the health needs of the developing economies.
